How to Build a Non-Alcoholic Bar Your Guests Actually Love

More of our clients are asking for thoughtful non-alcoholic options than ever before — for designated drivers, expecting parents, sober guests, and anyone who simply wants to feel good the next morning. The best hosts plan for all of them. Here's how we build a zero-proof menu that feels like a gift, not a compromise.

Our four rules for a great zero-proof menu

  • Give it the same garnish. A mocktail in a plain glass reads as an afterthought. Ours get the same fresh herbs, dehydrated citrus, and edible flowers as everything else on the bar.
  • Build in acid and bitterness. Alcohol adds structure; without it, drinks go flat and sweet. Fresh citrus, a splash of soda, and a few dashes of non-alcoholic bitters bring the backbone back.
  • Serve it in real glassware. Presentation is half the experience. If the cocktails come in a beautiful glass, the mocktails should too.
  • Name it on the menu. When 'The Garden Spritz' sits right next to the cocktails on a printed menu, guests choose it because it sounds great — not because they have to.

The goal is simple: every guest should be able to hold something beautiful and feel like the party was built with them in mind. That's hospitality.
